Southrock Cottage, a fully equipped, fully serviced cottage retreat, located on the Cabot Trail, in beautiful South Harbour.

The space
Southrock Cottage, your cottage retreat, located on the Cabot Trail with spacious and private waterfront on South Harbour. The first floor has a queen bed in 1st floor bedroom, enclosed very private glassed-in sunroom, 3 pc washroom, open kitchen and dining area. The second floor open loft which overlooks the 1st floor kitchen dining area includes a TV / reading area and sleeping area with two single beds. Exterior space includes multiple decks , a separate screen house, staircase between decks and private water beach area. There is also a separate laundry and recycling centre. Throughout one enjoys views of the water and mountains.
There is a wood stove with glass door for chilly evenings and/or outside open fire pit.
Fabulous beaches, hiking trails, kayak and bike rental facilities, restaurants, grocery stores, and other community facilities including pharmacy and medical centre are all within a few minutes reach from your quiet lightly populated scenic location.
Multiple stairways, decks and loft area make this location unsuitable for children.
You also share with the cottage owners an adjacent 15 acre property that has over 1800 feet of shoreline, walking roadway and trails. You also have shared use of owner's kayaks and canoe.

  You enjoy both a fully equipped private-space water front cottage and grounds and also have access to an additional 15 acres of waterfront which is shared with the property owners.
  
  Other things to note
  Single person kayaks and canoe are available for use by Southrock Cottage clients. Other large double person kayaks or SUPs are available from local rental companies (a few minutes away).

Rates and Rental Periods:

Southrock Cottage 2024:

• $352.00 per night for 1-2 persons; $40.00 per person per night extra for person 3 or 4. (all taxes included)

• $150.00 cleaning fee per stay

• 4 night minimum rental

Southrock Loft Suite – supplemental space available to Southrock Cottage clients only – rates for both 2023 & 2024

• $160.00 per night for 1-2 persons (all taxes included)

• 2 night minimum rental
  

For those client groups exceeding 4 but 6 or under total, there is additional rental space available that can very comfortably accommodate 2 persons. The Southrock Loft Suite, gives you an open style loft 450 sq. ft. living area with king bed, kitchen sink, mini-fridge and hotplate and adjacent 3 piece bath, entrance and storage closet. This unit is located on the second floor above a large garage next to the main property-owner’s house and has a separate entrance and three 2nd floor decks.

This unit is ideally suited for those requiring very comfortable facilities but fewer amenities than that provided by the larger Southrock Cottage, but is an ideal add on space available to Southrock Cottage clients only.

Staying at the loft suite you can walk (or drive) the 700 feet to the main Southrock Cottage to join your party or you can access separate waterfront space within a few hundred feet, have access to your own water-front fire pit area with supplied firewood, and enjoy your private time.

A two-night rental minimum is in effect for the loft suite which is provided to Southrock Cottage clients at $160.00 extra per night. Arrangements to book this space can be made by contacting Keith or Lorraine (see contacts page). There is a strict no-pets, no parties or events policy in place at this location as well.
